Alec brings in-depth accounting expertise gained throughout his 20-year career, much of which was spent specializing in audits of government contractors and technology companies. Alec regularly consults clients in the areas of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) compliance, Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) audits, allocability and allowability issues, incurred cost submission preparation, indirect rates reconciliations and cost pools setup. These experiences have made Alec a valuable resource and trusted advisor in assisting clients with complex accounting and regulatory issues, and they have given him a unique insight into those industries.


Alec has conducted evaluations of various entities’ internal controls, identifying weaknesses and preparing recommendations for his clients to improve their company’s operational effectiveness and efficiencies in both accounting and management. While working with clients in the technology industry, Alec gained deep insights into accounting requirements for software revenue recognition, complex equity transactions and other related aspects.

  George Papadopoulos, CPA

Partner and Founder

George has over 10 years of accounting experience, primarily specializing in government contracting. Through that work, he performed walk-throughs on internal controls, completed government contract and compliance testing, and drafted financial statements. He has also assisted numerous clients with drafting accounting policies and procedures manuals. George has managed and supervised the execution of financial statement audits and reviews of clients ranging from small start-up companies to large, multi-location corporations.

George also specializes in performing audits of employee benefit plans under requirements set forth by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the Department of Labor (DOL), and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). This experience includes both full scope and limited scope audits of defined contribution, defined benefit, and employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs) with assets ranging from $1 million to more than $90 million.

George worked at a Fortune 500 company where he assisted in resolving various ad hoc projects and improved monthly and quarterly processes. He provided audit support related to SOX, DCAA, IRS, internal and external financial statement audits, as well as preparing the quarterly/yearly financial reporting and tax packages.

Julie, as a tax partner in the firm, provides a full scope of tax services for business clients and high net worth individuals. She is an expert in tax compliance, strategic tax planning and projection, and tax research and analysis. She has consulted with clients on complex tax issues such as M&A transactions, stock option and stock compensation, NOLs, method changes, multi-state taxes, and international tax matters.  Her experience also includes performing R&D tax credit, consolidated business tax returns, state and local tax compliance, and payroll taxes.  Her business clients include C corporations, S corporations, Partnerships, and LLC’s, and she has advised on selection or change of entity type, restructuring firm ownership structures, and adding a new partner or shareholder with the objective of maximizing results from a tax perspective.

Julie’s primary focus over her 12 year career has been government contractors and high technology companies. She has also served the shareholders and executives of these businesses by providing tax planning guidance for their personal returns, as well as their investments in real estate and other small businesses, while also ensuring that they are in compliance with all federal, resident state, and non-resident state filing requirements.
